Jagath Wanninayake

Vice President, Clarix Products Group

Jagath Wanninayake cofounded Clarix LLC and served as its president and CEO prior to its acquisition by Phase Forward in 2008. While at the helm of Clarix, which provides fully Web-integrated interactive response technologies (IRT) for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, Wanninayake drove the product and business strategy of the organization. His leadership was instrumental in expanding Clarix's business.

Wanninayake has worked closely with the contract research organization industry, negotiating reseller agreements and supervising the development and execution of innovative software packages. As vice president of Phase Forward’s Clarix business group, he oversees product development and manages all operational activities associated with the Clarix IRT solution.

Prior to Clarix, Wanninayake cofounded a wireless middleware solutions company serving the manufacturing and specialty chemicals industries. He started his career at Blue Rock Capital, a venture capital firm, focusing on early-stage and growth-stage companies in enterprise software, hardware and telecommunications. Wanninayake received his bachelor’s degree in economics with a concentration in public policy from Swarthmore College.
